Since 2012, the ALJT has, in its housing stock, several residences dedicated exclusively to students and young researchers, under the brand HOME’R. Four residences of this kind will be opened in 2017.

Today, the ALJT has 55 residences spread over the Ile-de-France region and more than 10 000 young people accommodated. Among these residents, 1000 students and young researchers have been accommodated sine 2012 in Gennevilliers (first residence that welcomed students and young researchers), Boulogne-Billancourt, and, since April 2016, Vaucresson.

Thanks to its experience in supporting mobility and in the knowledge of the expectations of the public from all walks of life, the association intends to propose, by the end of 2019, a total of seven residences dedicated to students and young researchers.

Much more than student housing, theses buildings should be thought of as a form of sustainable and cohesive logic. The aim is to develop new ways of life and new forms of housing. These objectives were set thanks to innovating projects such as “La Serre Habitée » (the inhabited greenhouse) which is located Rue Piat, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, or the “ECO-CAMPUS” in Vitry. The other current projects are located in Nanterre (92) and Palaiseau (91).
